Santa Fe Indian School Medical Pathways Scholarship
The Santa Fe Indian School, in partnership with the LANL Foundation and Anchorum St. Vincent's, is pleased to announce that we will be offering the SFIS Medical Pathways Scholarship for SFIS Alumni who participated in the SFIS/UNM Health Careers program and who are now pursuing careers in the health field. SFIS will award eighteen (18) $2,000 scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Criteria for the SFIS Medical Pathways Scholarship:
-Be a SFIS Alumni pursuing a degree in the health field
-Currently enrolled full time in an accrediated institution
-Enrolled in college courses leading to a health career
-Participated in the SFIS/UNM Health Careers Program
-Minimum GPA of 2.5 cumulative (on 4.0 scale)
-Priority given to Class of 2021 Graduates
Each applicant must complete a SFIS Medical Pathways Scholarship application form and submit it along with the
following required documents:
- Transcripts (from last attended institution)
- Class Schedule for Fall Semester
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
- Complete the SFIS Health Careers Program Alumni Survey 2021
- Essay, which includes: A short introduction (name, pueblo/ tribe, years attended SFIS) and how your health career choice may potentially impact health care in your community.
